We were delighted to celebrate this auspicious day with a lecture by Dr Christina Muscat on the subject of the Magdalene nuns and the penitent prostitutes they took under their wing in the 16-18th centuries. She also offered an insight on that era, considering fashion, social mores and personalities of the time. We have come a long way since then! We were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Valletta, so peaceful in these troubled times. To top it all, we also received a special treat - AIWM branded International Women's Day chocolate bars. Delicious - thank you.
