Celtic Connection Fundraiser - May 2022

Celtic Connections was a huge hit at our May fundraiser at the Craftsman Pub in Qwara. It was a fun evening full of laughter and great music. Over €1000 was raised for Embrace Diversity* and overall we hit our six month target of €5,000! A fantastic achievement. It

Celtic Connections is a multinational group, including Irish, Scottish, English, French, German, Japanese, Maltese and American musicians. They are a group of friends who meet every week to play together and occasionally, especially at Christmas, perform for charity functions. They play for the joy of the music and do not charge for any of their performances. Their instruments include fiddles, harp, mandolin, banjo, whistle, accordion, low whistle, guitar, concertina and cajon.

*As a Non-Profit Organisation, Embrace Diversity is run voluntarily by parents of children with disability who are passionate about creating the best possible outcomes for their children. Through the holistic programme students practice life skills through activities such as cooking, gardening, drama, art, physio, spa sessions, exercise and sports, science and communication through dance and aromatherapy.
